  • K44: Premises clean, in good repair; Personal/chemical storage; Adequate vermin-proofing

Observed the following areas that have gaps larger than one inch: - The double swing doors located near the stairs (by loading dock)- There is a gap on the bottom and between the rubber edges of the door - Dry storage in adjacent building near loading dock(floral items, food paper products, canned food, non food items). There are 2 windows boarded up with wood and have large gaps. A large hole ( 12 inches diameter) in the ceiling in the corner noted. [CA] Vermin proof these areas to eliminate entrance of rodents and other vermin. Seal the hole in the corner. Keep roll up loading dock door closed when deliveries are not being conducted.

  • K23: No rodents, insects, birds, or animalsCritical

Observed on the bottom shelf of the paper product/pet food aisle, there was a small opening on one plastic package of bird food (seeds). A small pile of birds seeds were scattered throughout this shelf. It appears that a rodent gnawed through the package. No other evidence of rodent issues found at time of inspection. An empty rodent trap was found underneath a shelf closer to the paper products. [CA] Remove open package of bird food and place a trap towards the back of the pet food shelf. Monitor this area and the trap daily. [COS] Food was removed and cleaned up and trap was relocated to this area.
