ROUTINE INSPECTION

At the time of inspection, observed storage of foods (curries, chutnies, meat, vegetables, yogurt sauce, etc) and food equipment in the walk-in cooler and back storage area. PIC stated this food is storage for the mobile mobile food facility "NEW DELHI CHAAT" (4NH2126) parked directly outside of this facility. PIC stated that both the MFF and market facility are under the same ownership. Observed the MFF is currently permitted with the use of commissary kitchen at iKitchens (756 Commercial St). PIC stated that this market facility is occasionally used for parking and food storage. Verified this facility is not approved for use as a commissary. Discussed with PIC that the facility owner must submit application for commissary approval within 48 hours of this notification, or the MFF shall be relocated to designated, approved parking space and all food and food-related equipment shall be removed from this facility. The facility shall comply by 6/4/2026 or will be subject to further enforcement action. NOTE: Per previous inspection report, the 3-compartment sink and the preparation sink in the back area are installed without approval from this Department. PIC stated that sinks are not in active use.     Observed storage of non-prepackaged foods in the back storage area. The ceiling and flooring in this area is unapproved for use and lacks a base coving. [CA] Ceilings and flooring of all rooms where nonprepackaged food is handled shall be smooth, of durable construction, and of nonabsorbent material that is easily cleanable. The juncture of the floor and wall shall be coved with a 3/8-inch minimum radius coving and shall extend up the wall at least 4 inches in areas of food storage.

Site Evaluation ¬¬¬ BUSINESS NAME: Cala Market One OWNER: Cala Market One Inc The permit application has been completed for an Environmental Health Permit. The permit category for this facility is FP06. An invoice for fee of $777.00 will be mailed to the billing address on the application. Payment must be submitted within 10 days of receipt of the invoice. The owner is responsible for contacting our department if an invoice is not received and remit payment within 30 days. The Environmental Health Permit will be effective: 05/01/25 – 04/01/26. This report serves as a temporary permit. However, the permit will be deemed invalid if the permit fee is not paid in full within 30 days from the date of this report. Okay to Operate. An official permit will be mailed to the address on file and shall be posted in public view upon receipt.

New owner stated that these were installed by the previous owner. Only prepackaged foods are allowed for sale in this facility. The new owner has placed 2 cappuccino machines and 2 coffee makers in the front. Only one cappuccino is connected and in operation. The new owner stated that he will remove them due to lack of customer demand. I impounded all 4 units. Remove all unit within 30 days.
