    In the ice machine, observed rust forming around the screws for the interior panel. [CA] Ensure an approved type of screw is installed for the interior panel that does not easily rust. Clean and sanitize ice machine and interior panel to prevent possible contamination of food (ice). In the bar area, at the soda gun/soda dispensers, observed accumulation of debris on and in the nozzle. [CA] Ensure soda gun/soda dispensers are frequently cleaned and sanitized to prevent contamination of food.

    In the kitchen area, observed floor sink for the ice machine is slow draining. In the bar area, below the 3 compartment sink and ice storage sink, observed floor sinks are slow draining. In the women's restroom, observed three toilets are clogged, and a single toilet that is slow draining/flushing. [CA] Ensure all floor sinks are able to fully drain and dispose of wastewater. Ensure toilets in the women's restroom are repaired/unclogged, and able to properly dispose of waste/wastewater. Any overflow or sewage backup may result in closure of the facility.

    In the kitchen area, in the 2 door reach in refrigerator/freezer, observed employee food storage amongst food used for consumer service. [CA] Ensure all employee food is stored separately on a separated and labeled shelf, or in a labeled container/area to prevent possible cross contamination.

Tables used within the facility shall be installed with an approved surface that is smooth, durable, and easily cleanable such as stainless steel. Any materials installed to walls shall be properly finished and sealed to prevent possible harborage of vermin.

This is a billable follow up inspection, Owner will be billed $298.00 for today's inspection. -Door sweep not observed for front sliding doors. -Drain line for soda machine does not have air gap -Mesh screen provided for vent. -Floor sink at bar area has been cleaned. Bar counter does not appear to be connected to the wall. -Door sweep not provided for sliding doors, per manager doors would not close. No vermin activity observed at time of inspection Will follow up at next routine inspection

FOLLOW-UP INSPECTION

This is a billable follow up inspection. Owner will be billed $298.00 for today's inspection. Facility is still not in compliance with several violations cite on 12/18 and 12/20. Within 2 weeks, shall: 1. Provide a door sweep for the front doors, including bar entrance 2. Cover the holes with wood at bar area. Ensure floor sink is still accessible for cleaning and bar tap properly drains into floor sink. 3. Provide a mesh screen (recommend 1/4 inch openings or less) for vent above hood. 4. Elevate the drain lines by the soda dispenser for easy cleaning. Observed confirmation of pest control service with Ecoguard, scheduled to service tomorrow, 1/10/25. No evidence of pests/vermin observed at time of inspection. An additional billable follow up inspection will take place in 2 weeks. Sometime between Jan 28-31. Please ensure the above items are corrected.

This is a billable follow up inspection. Owner will be billed $298.00 for today's inspection. Facility received pest control service from California American Exterminator on 12/19/2024. They provided glue traps and identified multiple possible entry points. For example: 1. Gap under front doors. 2. Under Bar area and refrigeration units 3. Hole above Type II hood, also observed gap around fire suppression and an old vent with large gaps Facility shall: 1. Provide a door sweep for the front doors, including bar entrance 2. Cover the holes with wood at bar area. Ensure floor sink is still accessible for cleaning and bar tap properly drains into floor sink. 3. Provide a mesh screen (recommend 1/4 inch openings or less) for vent above hood. 4. Elevate the drain lines by the soda dispenser for easy cleaning. 5. Maintain a pest control management plan 6. Clean and sanitize daily Holes above hood were sealed. Handwash sink is accessible and fully operable at time of inspection. Recommend a wall-mounted soap dispenser. Storage rooms including soda syrup was cleaned. Ensure all to-go containers and other items are stored at least 6 inches off the floor. Discussed with Supervisor Priscilla Mark, an additional billable follow up inspection will take place in 3 weeks. Sometime between Jan 7 - 10. Please ensure the above items are corrected. Submit plans for new ovens no later than 1/31/2025. Previous certified food safety manager no longer employed. Provide a new certified manager within 60 days. Facility OK to reopen

FOLLOW-UP INSPECTION

This is a follow up inspection from 12/5/2024. -Observed numerous rodent feces on the floors throughout facility, such as corner of storage rooms, bar area and front service area. -Handwash sink was inoperable at start of inspection. Technician arrived and repaired sink. However it does not have operable soap dispenser. Provide an accessible, clean sink with soap and paper towels in dispensers. -Soda syrup still observed on floor flowing behind ice machine and freezers -Multiple to-go boxes/articles still observed on the floor in the storage room Facility shall undergo a deep cleaning of the kitchen and all food prep/storage areas. Per owner, employees of the X Bar BBQ are no longer in operation. Remove any unused equipment from the premises. FACILITY IS HEREBY CLOSED, PERMIT IS SUSPENDED, DUE TO VERMIN ACTIVITY. IF FOOD FACILTY IS FOUND IN OPERATION DURING SUSPENSION, PENALTY UP TO THREE TIMES THE PERMIT FEE WILL BE ASSESSED. Next inspection will be billed at $298.00/hour.

Work with your pest control company, check for holes/openings. Provide pest control report at next inspection. A follow up inspection will take place within 2 weeks, no later than 12/20/2024. Ensure all contaminated surfaces have been cleaned and sanitized; and contributing factors such as cleaning, repairs, and the elimination of harborages have been resolved.
