  • K33: Nonfood contact surfaces clean

    Accumulation of grime and buildup observed on shelving within the walk-in refrigerator. [CA] Nonfood contact surfaces shall be maintained clean.

  • K42: Garbage & refuse properly disposed; facilities maintained

    Dumpster observed to be overflowing with refuse, with lid maintained open. [CA] Refuse containers shall be covered at all times when not in use.

  • K23: No rodents, insects, birds, or animals

    *REPEAT VIOLATION* Old, dry-appearing rodent droppings observed in the following locations: - 5 droppings on an upper shelf adjacent to the wine cooler in the back corner of the sales area - ~10 droppings behind the drink reach-ins at the front of the sales area - 2 droppings behind the ATM machine/stack of water bottles No other evidence of active rodent presence observed within the facility. [CA] Clean and sanitize areas of old droppings. The premises of each food facility must be maintained free of vermin. A facility cannot operate if there is a vermin infestation that leads to contamination of food contact surfaces, packaging, utensils, food equipment, or adulteration of food. *Recommend getting a regular pest control service treatment until rodent presence has been abated

    Approximately four small, quarter-size holes observed in the ceiling of the hallway leading to the bathroom. [CA] Repair holes in structure and maintain in good repair to prevent harborage of vermin.

    *REPEAT VIOLATION* Walk-in refrigerator condenser line observed to be draining into a plastic pitcher situated within the floor sink. Per the PIC, they do not let wastewater from the walk-in drain directly into the floor sink because it backs up from neighboring facilities. [CA] Condensation line from walk-in refrigerator shall drain into an approved plumbing system via the floor sink.

  • K29: Toxic substances properly identified, stored, used

    Unapproved containers of bug spray and rodent repellent observed on a shelf in the storage room. [CA] Only those insecticides, rodenticides, and other pesticides that are necessary and specifically approved for use in a food facility may be used.
