Follow up inspection regarding lack of hot water. Specialist observed hot water of at least 120F at the 3 comp sink and warm water of at least 100F at all hand sink stations. Okay to operate. Water heater information: Model #: NPE: 210S2 - NG; Tankless Gas Water Heater Heat Capacity: 12,000-180,000 BTU/H Facility submitted plans to DEH Plan Check under SR0880167. Facility shall continue with the DEH Plan Check procedures regarding water heater. Failure to complete Plan Check process regarding water heater may subject facility to enforcement actions. This is the facility's second follow up inspection. The first follow up inspection is free of charge, any and all subsequent follow up inspections shall be charged at the approved hourly rate of $298/hr, minimum of one hour. Facility will be invoiced for today's follow up inspection.

FACILITY ORDERED CLOSED due to lack of hot water. Facility shall remain closed until approval from this department has been obtained. Facility shall not conduct food preparation and food sale until facility has obtained approval from Specialist to re-open. Red placard posted at front window. Red Placard must be displayed until facility has been re-inspected, and cannot be removed, relocated, defaced, marred, camouflaged, or hidden so as to prevent the public from observing it. A facility found to be in continued operation without approval may incur a penalty of three (3) times the operating permit fee, and fee(s) for re-inspection(s) charged at the current hourly rate approved by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. Penalties and fees incurred due to enforcement activities must be paid in full prior to the issuance of an operating permit Failure to comply may result in enforcement actions per County Ordinance Section B11-55. Note: Specialist initially measured water temperature at hand sink next to 3 comp sink at 100F. A few seconds later, Specialist measured the 3 comp sink and did not observe hot water. Owner asked me to re-check the water temperature at the 3 comp sink and the maximum water temperature was measured at 116F but the temperature immediately started to decrease to below 100F. [CA]: Hot water shall be supplied at a minimum temperature of at least 120°F measured from the faucet throughout facility except at handwash sinks.
