    Lack of single-use paper towels at the only handwash sink located in the back of the facility. [CA] All handwash sinks shall be able to provide warm water, soap, and single-use paper towels for employees to properly wash hands when required.

  • K44: Premises clean, in good repair; Personal/chemical storage; Adequate vermin-proofing

    Holes observed on the walls inside the back staging area and around the mop sink. [CA] Repair and seals openings, gaps, and crevices in facility to prevent harborage of vermin.

  • K33: Nonfood contact surfaces clean

    1) Floor drains in the facility are observed with accumulation of black-mold like substances. 2) Grime and mold-like debris observed on open air coolers used to hold produce. [CA] Frequently clean and sanitize nonfood contact surfaces to prevent accumulation of debris.

    Small flies observed inside the facility at the market and in the back staging area. [CA] Food facility shall be kept free of flies and fly activity.

    Hot water is not available in the facility. The hot water valves for all sinks are turned off. [CA] Hot water shall be supplied at a minimum temperature of at least 120°F measured from the faucet throughout facility except at handwash sinks.

    1) Boxes and cases of food are stored directly on the floor inside the walk-in coolers and the back storage area. [CA] Food shall be stored a minimum of 6 inches off the floor. 2) Returned items are not stored on top of boxes/cases of food inside the walk-in cooler. [CA] Returned items shall be stored in a designated location separate from other food.

    Spray bottles stored on boxes of corn are not labeled. Per employee, the bottles contain water. [CA] Spray bottles used in a food facility shall be labeled to identify it's contents.

    Outdoor dumpsters are overfilled to where the lids cannot be closed. [CA] Outdoor dumpsters shall be maintained and lids are kept closed when not in use to prevent attracting vermin.
