ROUTINE INSPECTION
No thermometer available is display cooler where milk and prepackaged burritos are stored. [CA] A thermometer +/- 2°F shall be provided and correctly located in each cold holding unit containing potentially hazardous foods. Place thermometer where it is easily visible while checking refrigerator temperature.
No paper towels available at restroom hand wash sink. No paper towel dispenser observed. [CA] Ensure paper towels are stocked at all times. Single-use paper towels shall be provided in dispensers; heated-air hand drying device may be substituted for single-use towels. [COS] Operator provided a roll of paper towels.
Unapproved Vevor coffee urn observed for self service. No coffee observed in urn during inspection. Disposable cups, sugar, and powdered creamer observed next to equipment. Facility is currently permitted as FP06 which does not allow coffee service. Facility is lacking a 3 compartment sink to properly clean and sanitize the coffee urn. [CA] Discontinue coffee service immediately and remove equipment from the premises. Note: Spoke with owner during inspection. He stated that coffee urn has not been used since last inspection 12/18/24.
ROUTINE INSPECTION
Single use sanitary towels are not available at the restroom hand sink. [CA] Handwashing facilities shall be equipped with handwashing cleanser and single-use sanitary towels in dispensers.
Facility is providing coffee for self service counter, PIC stated they wash the coffee maker either outside the store or in the restroom sink. Spoke with the owner on the phone, they stated there is a 3-comp sink in the back, owner could not provide access since it's locked behind a separate door. Was not able to verify the 3-comp sink [CA] Manual warewashing shall be accomplished by using a three-compartment sink where the utensils are first precleaned, washed with hot soapy water, rinsed with hot water, sanitized with an approved method, and air dried. Use 1 TBS of bleach (5.25%) per 1 gal. of water for chlorine solution (100 PPM). Use 1 tbs of quaternary ammonium (10%) per 2 gal. of water for quaternary ammonium (200 PPM). [COS] PIC was directed to put the coffee maker away and cease the sale of open coffee.
