[CA] The premises of a food facility shall be free of litter and items that are unnecessary to the operation or maintenance of the facility, such as equipment that is nonfunctional or no longer used.

    Facility is storing prepackaged non-PHFs in a decommissioned bathroom. [CA] Food must be stored in approved location. Relocate the food items from the restroom.

  • K34: Warewash facilities: installed/maintained; test strips

    Facility lacks testing materials for their choice of sanitizer at the three compartment sink, chlorine. [CA] Testing equipment and materials shall be provided to adequately measure the applicable sanitization method used during manual or mechanical warewashing.

    Water was measured at 116F at the three compartment sink. [CA] Hot water shall be supplied at a minimum temperature of at least 120°F measured from the faucet throughout facility except at handwash sinks.

FOLLOW-UP INSPECTION

This is the first follow up inspection for the routine inspection. Observation: K21: Hot water has been restored to the facility. Three compartment sink and mop sink measured at 120F. K22: The mop sink is draining properly. K23: No evidence of roaches were observed. Dead carcasses were removed. K30: Food has been removed from the restroom. K49: Permit fee has been remitted. Amanuel will call our office to update the mailing address.

    Repeat Violation: Single wrapped tamales observed to be offered for sale in reach in cooler. No label observed on tamales. Operator provided receipt and tamales are purchased from Pitco. [CA] Ensure all items offered for sale are labeled with the following: 1) common name of the food, 2) list of ingredients in descending order of predominance by weight, 3) quantity of contents, 4) name and place of business of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor. Display the manufacturer's label.
