ROUTINE INSPECTION
The following inspection was conducted in conjunction with a complaint investigation.
In the grocery area of the facility, in the rice isle, observed three open packages of rice with two packages noted to have gnaw holes. No rodent droppings or additional evidence of activity in the area. In the back storage area, by the soda storage, observed rodent droppings. [CA] Ensure facility is kept free of vermin. Clean and sanitize all areas with activity. Contact pest control to provide additional service including placing traps and bait in the noted areas. [SA] Operator removed open/gnawed packages of rice, and to contact pest control to provide further service. Operator to clean and sanitize areas with potential activity. A follow-up inspection to occur to evaluate for further activity. Any additional activity and evidence of an infestation may result in closure of the facility.
