    Observed the installation of an Avantco 2 element electric range beside the pizza oven, outside of the hood system. Installation of range was not approved by this department. [CA] Remove unapproved equipment. A person proposing to add new cooking equipment shall submit plans and specifications for review and shall receive plan approval prior to the installation of any equipment. This is a follow up inspection for the routine inspection conducted on 10/31/2024 to verify compliance with major violations. Observations: K06: All hand wash stations were fully stocked with soap and paper towels. K07: All PHFs were at 41°F or below or at 135°F or above. K35: The walk in cooler has been repaired and is maintaining PHFs at 41°F or below. Continue to correct all pending violations.

ROUTINE INSPECTION

A follow up inspection will be conducted within 3 business days to verify compliance with major violations. The first follow up inspection is free of charge. Any and all subsequent follow up inspections shall be charged at the approved hourly rate of $298.00/hr, minimum of one hour, during normal business hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm or $645/hour minimum two hour during non business hours, and upon inspector availability. Note: - Facility has changed their name from ZPIZZA to Golden Bay Pizza. Per owner San, the change happened a few months ago. Erick stated none of the equipment changed and it is the same owner still. - Facility has a sous vide device that they use to heat up water for their dough. Per pic, they do not cook any meats with the device.

[CA] Single-use sanitary towels shall be provided in dispensers; heated-air hand drying device may be substituted for single-use towels. [COS] Staff restocked the dispenser at time of the inspection.

    Potentially Hazardous Foods stored in the walk in cooler were found above 60°F. Per PIC the walk in cooler started failing yesterday and is in the process of being serviced. Food was stored in the cooler overnight. PIC stated service technician left the facility shortly before inspector arrived. [CA] PHFs shall be held at 41°F or below or at 135°F or above. [COS] Affected PHFs were discarded. See VC&D report.
