Handwash sink in warewash area has an automatic mixing valve that reaches 120F well before you can finish handwashing thoroughly. [CA] Handwashing facilities equipped with a mixing valve that is not readily adjustable at the faucet, shall provide warm water at least 100°F, but not greater than 108°F.
ROUTINE INSPECTION
1) In the warewash area, water at handwash sink (mixing valve) measured up to 134F. 2) Water at multiple handwash sinks (mixing valves) measured at 66F. [CA] Handwashing facilities equipped with a mixing valve that is not readily adjustable at the faucet, shall provide warm water at least 100°F, but not greater than 108°F.
