ROUTINE INSPECTION
***REPEATED VIOLATION Paper towel dispenser is empty at the only hand sink within facility. [CA] Single-use sanitary towels shall be provided in dispensers; heated-air hand drying device may be substituted for single-use towels. [COS] Dispenser was stocked.
1. Containers of liquid sugar are stored on the floor inside the dry food storage room. [CA] Food shall be stored at least 6 inches above the floor to prevent contamination. 2. Flour bin has no label. [CA] Working containers holding food or food ingredients that are removed from their original packages shall be identified with the common name of the food if not easily recognizable.
***REPEATED VIOLATION Tapioca boba is measured at 82F held inside a warmer unit; per PIC, boba was made about 2 hours before inspection. [CA] Maintain all PHFs hot held at or above 135F. [SA] Operator opted to use time as a public health control (TPHC).
Food debris observed on counter tops and on shelves. [CA] Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris.
***REPEATED VIOLATION Food safety manager certificate (FSC), is not provided during inspection. [CA] Food facilities that prepare, handle, or serve non-prepackaged potentially hazard foods shall have a valid Food Safety Certificate available for review at all times.
ROUTINE INSPECTION
Discussed the use of sanitizer. Per PIC, Autochlor will be installing a sanitizer dispenser. PIC has a small quantity of quaternary ammonia sanitizer set up. Bleach is also available. Advise PIC not to mix chlorine and quaternary ammonia sanitizer for use. Education provided for both chemicals sanitizer test strips. PIC has question if the fryer could be used. A person proposing to build or remodel a food facility shall submit plans and specifications for review and shall receive plan approval prior to starting any new construction or remodeling. OWNERSHIP CHANGE INFORMATION NEW FACILITY NAME: X-TEA AND K SNACKS NEW OWNER: JEONG PARK The applicant has completed the facility evaluation application process for an Environmental Health Permit. The permit category for this facility is FP 09. An invoice for the permit fee in the amount of $652.00 will be mailed to the billing address on the application. Payment must be submitted within 10 days of receipt of the invoice. The owner is responsible for contacting our department if an invoice is not received and remit payment within 30 days. The Environmental Health Permit will be effective: 10/01/24 - 09/30/25 This report serves as a temporary permit. However, the permit will be deemed invalid if the permit fee is not paid in full within 30 days from the date of this report. Okay to Operate. An official permit will be mailed to the address on file and shall be posted in public view upon receipt. *Structural Review inspection conducted on 09/24/24 *Permit condition: * All other food employees must have valid food handler cards within 30 days from hire date.
