Observed a second ice machine in the rear area that appears to not be reflected in the submitted plans. Ice machine was empty and PIC stated they are currently not using it. Any new equipment must have plans submitted and be approved by Plan Check before installation.

4 reported violations
  • K34: Warewash facilities: installed/maintained; test strips

Sanitizer test strips were not available. [CA] Keep sanitizer test strips stocked at facility at all times.

  • K14: Food contact surfaces clean, sanitized

Observed employee was washing and sanitizing large plastic containers, and containers were only in contact with sanitizer (quaternary ammonia) for 5-10 seconds before being removed to dry. [CA] Wares must be in contact with quaternary ammonia for at least one minute before air-drying.

  • K08: Time as a public health control; procedures & records

Time as a Public Health Control (TPHC) was being used for the boba pearls, but no written procedures were available upon request. [CA] Keep TPHC written procedures available on site for review at all times.

  • K06: Adequate handwash facilities supplied, accessible

In the front prep area: observed clean metal cups/spoons/food containers stored underneath the paper towel dispenser. [CA] Store clean wares/utensils away from handwash facilities to prevent cross-contamination and to keep handwash facilities easily accessible.
